Just so you know, seven is half-way to fourteen. What will I do when she is fourteen?
Kylie's birthday was last week! We decided to do things a little different this year...
We all woke up together and Allie and Ammon gave Kylie a super cute butterfly bangle watch. After school I left Ammon with Grandma Speth and took Kylie, Allie and two of Kylie's friends (Olivia Higgins and Carson Talbot) to Classic Fun Center (I was hoping it would be a little easier than another usual big party). She had a HECK of a time deciding who to take. It took her three days to widdle her list down to two, and even then John and I had to do some MAJOR coaching.
After we dropped the friends at home, we met our extended family at the Golden Coral. My house was still germ infested from my most recent sinus infection, and I didn't have enough time (or energy) to disinfect the entire thing before Friday night, so we went out instead...
Kylie was mildly mortified by the G.C. staff singing to her, and even more so at her dad's gift to her - a lump of coal. He's been teasing her about it for weeks and since we couldn't bring her new bike to the restaurant he brought the coal instead - she tried sooo very hard not to cry! I'm pretty sure her new bike made up for it though :)
Kylie is such an amazing little person! She is lovely and fun and sweet and a wonderful mix of her mom and dad. She is sporty and energetic like John, but practical and logical, like her mom :) Its so fun to see these traits mixing with her unique spiritual make up! She is so obedient and conscientious of making good choices, which makes her so helpful and fun to be around! And while I don't want her to grow up, I'm very excited to see who she becomes!

I just love Kylie. I love how sweet and playful she is with the little kids, and I love that she will always find me to sit & chat with me :) She is just a wonderful little lady and gets more wonderful every year!! Happy birthday, Kylie!
