Heritage Days

This year it was my turn to take the girls to the Heritage Days Parade :) I wish parades were more exciting - more actual floats and creativity.... it seems more and more like people just slap a sign on the side of their truck and call it good. Then you're stuck in the blazing heat watching the commercial that never ends... all so your kids can fight other little kids for cheap taffy. I guess its worth it though - I mean, if the kids enjoy it :)

After the parade we went to Tara's parent's house to swim in the pool for a few hours. Kathy was so nice to let us come and she shared her yummy Pace's popcicles with us :)

A few hours later we did a quick run through the carnival and headed to Jensen Pond for the fireworks!
