Kylie starts school next Monday so I'll add her pics next week!
Kylie's first day of school was the third Monday in August. I think it was a bit of a bummer for her that her vacation was over, but she was happy to see her friends. Because of the spectrum program Kylie is in, she only gets one new student in her class each year (usually). She said her first day was pretty easy. I got an unexpected call from her school in the early afternoon. The conversation went like this,
Me, "Hello."
Kylie, "Hi."
Me, "Oh crap, its early out, isn't it?"
Kylie, "Isn't this the third year in a row?"
And then I laughed. And laughed and laughed.
I know its not funny to leave your kid at school, but really, who does it three years in a row? I had almost stopped laughing when I picked her up...
Me, "You know what this means, don't you?"
Kylie, "Nooooo..."
Me, "After the third time its considered tradition :)"
She cracked a smile and tried to make me feel better by telling me the office was overflowing with kids calling their parents to pick them up.
Ammon started preschool in September. We chose to join a neighborhood joy school and it is going so well! He absolutely loves it and cried the first three times when I showed up to take him home. I love the way he can't wait to get out and play with new friends. It is such a fantastic group of little people and we love it when it is our turn to host!
