My chocolate rant...

ok I have tried so hard today to be productive - to choose good things to occupy my time. In the midst of my productivity, my brain somehow shut itself off. After scrubbing the bathrooms, I decided to make some wheat bread. I have made it many times and can even do it without the recipe (I know, its amazing!!) Anyway my honey was starting to crystalize on the bottom so I put it into the microwave. I took it out and began to measure the very hot honey into the mixture. Something clicked as I was pouring and I thought, "I wonder if the hot honey will kill the yeast?" Well, it did. Not the first time I have killed yeast, so I cooked it anyway.

Next, was the laundry... I pulled the clothes out of the dryer and put them in the hamper I had placed in front of it. Then I transfered clothes from the washer to the dryer. I looked up to think - hmmm - I had just washed whites in hot water so next I should probably wash something in cold. I turned on the cold water and put in the soap. I looked down and saw a pile of darks! How convenient! So I grabbed the darks out of the hamper and threw them into the washer full of water. Lovely! Then I went to pick up the hamper to take the clothes upstairs and noticed it was empty....

I needed chocolate. ok I didn't really NEED chocolate - I wanted it. I went to get some out of the pantry (who doesn't have chocolate in their pantry?) and found some cheep Easter chocolate. So here is the point of this entire entry:

Dove chocolate has the amazing power to turn even the most desperate chocolate lover into a complete Chocolate Diva. Every single piece of chocolate I put in my mouth is an absolute letdown compared to Dove. (ok I still love plain M&Ms, but that is mostly about the candy coating) Do you realize how much chocolate that eliminates? I blame the entire thing on Heidi (but I still love you) because when we were roommates she kept her candy drawer stocked with those yummy little Dove eggs and she introduced them to me. WHY?!! I was perfectly happy with Symphone Toffee bars, hershy's kisses, etc... Oh don't worry I will still eat your chocolate, but I have to admit, the entire time I am eating it I will be wishing it were Dove chocolate and thinking of a way to tactfully tell you that you have wasted your money on sub average calories.

  1. I am busting up laughing!! You are so right my friend!!! I enjoyed your thought process about the day, smiling at how well you share the fun details, AND that I totally agree on the divine taste of Dove! Then you credit me for the intro, I remember all that lovely indulgence. Hm, sweet chocolate thoughts. :) That reminds me I didn't get any Dove for Easter, must go find some post-holiday bag on sale! Thanks!

  2. Suzi, you are hilarious!! Oh my...we think exactly alike though. Every time I'm doing something (housework, typing reports, etc) my first thought is always a random, "I need chocolate!"
