Hostage negotiations

John is learning all sorts of things with this new Project Manager role of his... now we can throw hostage negotiations onto the list :)

Gs they would not let Ammon out of there!  I know he had random, unexplained fevers and a feeding tube, and pain, and open wounds, and unbalanced electrolites and excessive diuretics, but none of this is new or scary and we were getting TIRED.  So John finally struck a sweet deal and got Ammon out of lockdown :) Labs on Friday, an early PCMC appointment next week for x-rays to check the fluid in his pleural space, loads of meds, keep him hydrated (no easy task given the diuretics he's still on) and feed him SALTY foods (and get him to eat something)....done.

Ammon is doing pretty well.  He is happy to be home, but not too happy :)  He still hurts quite a bit and struggles to move the way he wants to.  He LOVES to play with his sisters, but get tired REALLY FAST.  He naps on the couch and plays on the floor and boy I wish I had a way for this kid to watch a movie :) I was downloading some pictures from my phone of his hospital stay and as soon as he saw them he started to whimper and whined, "no...no.... oh no...."  so I guess he's not ready to talk about it yet.

So I will hurry and post the last jumble of pictures before he wakes up :)  Someday this will be funny to him?  Yeah, probably not.  During the last few days Ammon wanted to sit on "daddy's bed" and pretty much refused to get in his hospital bed. He got all of the chocolate milkshakes, yogurt, quesadillas and hot dogs he could order and still only wanted to eat soup from home.  I hope he doesn't have to go back for a REALLY long time :)
