Halloween 2013

We had another crazy Halloween... a lot of the usual traditions, except we never got around to carving our pumpkins :(  Funny thing was the kids didn't care so much if the pumpkins were carved as long as they had them :)  Grandma Spencer took all of the Utah grandkids (and me and Tara) to Black Island Farms - it was really nice to get out of here for a while!  Costumes were crazy this year :)  Madelyn wouldn't keep one on for more than 10 minutes so I decided not to waste money on it and she wore a cute dragon suit out of the dress up bin.  Ammon kept changing his mind every week.  First he wanted to be Lightning McQueen, then it was Mater, next Thomas and then Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  I think he saw something he wanted to be after that, but we had already bought the Jake costume so he was stuck with it :)  Kylie was intent on being a Greek Goddess.  She read the Percy Jackson books a few months ago and wanted to be Artemis.  She had to settle for Athena :)  But she was so particular about what the costume had to look like that we ended up making it.  Lucky for me it ended up being cheaper than buying one online :)  Miss Allie was completely undecisive until exactly 3 pm on Halloween day.  I had taken her to six different stores, but she couldn't find anything she liked.  She hates anything scary, ugly, silly etc... It has to make her look beautiful!  Which is fun, but seriously limits your choices.  She ended up pulling a princess dress out of the toy bin (yay for me!)  I wanted to buy John a Sully costume and dress Madelyn up as Boo, but it was about a gazillion dollars so...  I didn't get any pics of Trick-or-Treating because John and Steve took them out this year (that was my favorite part!) But I got some of the ward Trunk-or-Treat...
