Christmas 2013

I don't even know where to start with Christmas. I wish I had a really fancy camera so the pictures were better! A quick recap - On Christmas Eve we went to John's grandma's house for a party with his family and cousins, which was lovely, and then we went home to open Christmas jammies :) John wasn't supposed to get me any, but did and I have to say I LOVE them!
On Christmas we woke up and opened presents. We didn't have anywhere to be until 3pm so the kids took their time opening their gifts and had plenty of time to play with them. In the afternoon we headed to the Speth's for more presents and Christmas dinner :) Parties are always lots of fun!
The next morning (2:30am) we woke up and drove to Sean and Tami's vacation house in Oregon. That.was.a.long.drive. We arrived early afternoon on Thursday and went to their house to shower/get settled while the rest of my family shopped in Bend. We spent three full days in Oregon. It was so fun to see the cousins play together - My kids only get to see Kalia and Grady once a year so its a pretty big treat. I love being surrounded by family. I love the chaos and the noise and the interactions. I know John and my family is getting big, noisy and a little crazy, but I'm thankful for family that puts up with us and lets us take over half of their house :) We had a lot of fun - Thursday night included Christmas presents, Friday we drove around a bit and went for a hike, Saturday John and I took the little ones to Walmart to get cold medicine (boo) while the girls played with cousins and then John took the girls ice skating with the rest of the group. The adults spent lots of time in the evenings playing games while the kids ran amuck :) My favorite thing ever - watching the cousins compete at JustDance on the Wii. It was fantastic!
And then we came home and Christmas was over - :(
