Kylie's 10th Birthday

Kylie has had quite a year.. She is getting older - I'm starting to see the pre-teen come out in her and its kind of scary :) She's getting so independent and mature, yet she is paying more attention to her siblings and caring for them a lot more. She still buries herself in books and is learning so many things at school. I love to hear about the things she learns - half of the time those random facts are new to me :) She is becoming more and more helpful and I love talking to her on our way to and from school each week. I can see the influence John and I have had on her - both good and bad :) It will be interesting to talk to her in a few years and find out what she thinks she learned from us. I hope its something useful :)

Kylie has good friends and has been meeting a lot of new girls in our new neighborhood - Alicia, Shydra, Jade, Hallie... I asked her to invite her new friends to her birthday party so she could get to know the better. Its fun to watch these cute girls interact :) She didn't want a themed party - she just wanted to "hang out". They ate pizza, watched a movie, sang karaoke, and tried charades.
