Makenna Speth

Back in January I went in for my 2nd fetal echo with this pregnancy.  Dr. Puchalski couldn't find her VSD.  Despite what he told us earlier about this type of VSD not healing itself - it had.  It was a good learning experience - a crazy weird lesson in trusting Heavenly Father.  Sometimes I get caught up worrying what other people will think of my choices, but I knew the decision to have another baby was a good one and so I didn't worry about some of the comments I was hearing - both personally, and through the grapevine.  It reminded me not to judge other people's decisions because only Heavenly Father knows what is best for them.

This pregnancy was a little tougher.  Only because I'm getting old and moldy :) And it went by really quickly! And the second she was born my body took a big sigh of relief and did the happy dance :)  But it was oh so worth it!  She is so little and so cute and growing way, way too fast!  Makenna is five and a half weeks old now and I have been loving most every second of her! We scheduled her delivery and it was a piece of cake.  As soon as they started the pitocin my body took over and voila!  John was able to help deliver her and the nurse laughed at me because I was trying to take pictures and give birth at the same time :) As usual, it was a fantastic experience.

She was 7.6 pounds and 19.5 inches long.  We had a REALLY HARD time with her name.  We told the girls they could give us a short list and we wold choose a name from the list, but in the end it came down to choosing between the name Kylie liked and the name Allie liked.  That was kind of hard.  I wish I hadn't known whose name was whose :)  But I like her name (of course) and I think it suits her :)  I only got a couple of pictures of me during this pregnancy and I finally had to take them myselfso I'm sorry they are silly :)

He he he, this one cracks me up!

Doing what he does best - working!
