North Carolina!

So I got an itch :)  To get out of dodge and also to visit my sister.  And then John made the mistake of telling me he had a free airline ticket :) But then as it turned out he had two free tickets! So I not only took Makenna (of course, she is free!), but Allie also got to come - because she was off track.  The last time I visited Tami and Sean's family they lived in Dallas, Texas.  I only stayed for three or four days and I got terribly homesick :(  This time I was hoping by taking a couple of kids with me I wouldn't miss home so badly. It wasn't as bad as last time, but I did miss them terribly! I REALLY wished Kylie could have come because I felt so bad leaving her behind.  And Ammon and Grady would have had so much fun together!  I promised the rest of the kids next time I would take them.  Better start saving my pennies :)

The girls and I stayed for 8 days and had the.most.wonderful.time!  It was soooooo relaxing!  Allie played with her cousins and I played with Makenna and we slept a tad bit longer and I didn't have to rush anywhere or worry about anything... ahhhhhhhh. And they spoiled us silly - showered us with gifts and food and fun!

We arrived really late at night and the next day we went to see Kalia and Grady perform at a festival in town.  Then we got rained out.  It POURED and POURED and IT WAS AWESOME!  I LOVE rain! Once we made it home we snuggled up by the fire and relaxed :)  Day two was Sunday.  We went to church and on a walk and relaxed some more.  Then I got a stomach bug of some sort and spent a good portion of the night waiting to throw up.  After I got that out of my system I spent the following day in my pjs while Tami went to work.  I remember laying on the floor for the third day and wondering if lying there would ever get boring.... never did:)  By day four I was ready to get moving!  Tami took me shopping (I am a terrible shopping buddy) and we got pedicures!  There was a lame tornado warning so her kids got out of school early and we skipped their regular lessons.  Allie got to try a few new things... She went to Activity Days and Ballet with Kalia, Jujitsu with Grady.  On Friday we went to a ski swap at APP state, stopped at a store in the outlet mall and toured the cutest little place in Blowing Rock.  The little city was adorable!  We didn't get to do the hike around the lake as we planned, but we got to see the leaves changing and it was beautiful! Later that night they took us out to eat at a yummy Mexican place and on Saturday morning we took the boat out.  Saturday night we went to the Balloon festival, but it was too windy and they didn't put any balloons up :(  But we still had fun!  The week flew by!  It was relaxing and rejuvenating and refreshing to spend time with my sister and her family!  I love them so much!
