This girl. Sometimes she is crazy. really, a lot of times she is crazy. CRAZY. I am having such a hard time disciplining her. She is so sweet and caring and lovely one minute and completely disobedient the next :) She has so much energy and can be so much fun! But she really doesn't mind getting in trouble all that much - which makes it kind of hard sometimes....
One of those times was last week when I repeatedly told her and Ammon to stop jumping on the couch. Of course they didn't listen. I walked over to the dining table to call the dog groomer and after I got off the phone I heard them both scream and then they cam running at me. When I looked up all I saw was blood. They were both covered in it. I inspected Madelyn first and quickly noticed blood spurting from her head. I ran to the kitchen to grab a cloth and by the time I got back there was a rather large puddle of it on the floor. Madelyn was flopping around and wouldn't let me put pressure on it. In the meantime, Ammon was crying because he was bleeding. I asked him where it hurt and he pointed to a spot on his head where there was no blood. He was covered in Madelyn's blood. I called Trish (the next door neighbor) and then tried to keep Madelyn tackled and scoot the baby out of the blood puddle until she came over. Thank Heavens for good neighbors! She helped hold Madelyn while I got the changed and ready to go pick up Kylie from school and head to the doctor.
Five stitches later you would think she had learned a lesson. She hasn't. Still crazy as ever :) Good thing I love her so much :)
