Pool Party

We spent Saturday in Hyrum at Grandma and Grandpa Speth's house. The girls had a blast swimming, riding horses, and wrestling with daddy and Tyler. We ate a SUPER yummy chicken dinner and I tried to make Tara's famous corn salsa - YU-UUUM!

John decided he was tired of watching the kids have all the fun and jumped in the kiddie pool fully dressed. Of course Tyler followed suit (at least he was smart enough to go in the house and put on some of his dads B-Ball shorts first). Next came Karl and then they caught Jayden and made him join in. They spent the next half hour or so trying to drown each other. Apparently Karl has quite a bit of muscle behind him, and Tyler gained a new appreciation for grass as John pushed his face into the bottom of the pool. Kylie depansed Tyler (luckily I missed that) and is quite proud of it - who taught her that? Laura got to stay in the house with a fussy baby, Monica took pictures while chasing Addisyn around and the rest of the family just tried to stay dry while we enjoyed the entertainment!

I think over all it was a success - of course, I didn't have to stay and clean up the mess...

  1. Such great water fun! Thanks for your comment and THANK YOU THANK YOU for your call on my birthday last week! It was so sweet of you and Kylie to leave a birthday message. It was truly a treat to hear that on the way home from youth conference at midnight; it made me smile! Thanks for your thoughtfulness. Playdate in the near future, don't know how this week pans out but I'll call you soon. Love ya!

  4. Yeah - when Tyler stood up to take me down, Kylie grabbed a hold of his pants and pulled them down. It shocked Tyler and saved me from being taken down. The funny part was Kylie gave me a high five after she did it.
