What a crazy, fast, exhausting, fun, eventful fabulous weekend! We left Thursday afternoon for Lefthand Fork in Hyrum. We arrived before the rest of the group, ate pizza in the chilly rain, set up our tent (still raining), and I sat in the truck with three hyper kids for a couple of hours while John rode around on my dad's motorcycle (which had stalled and John got stuck waiting for my parents near the entrance to the campground)...
We expected it to rain most of the weekend, but instead we got a really nice cloud cover and cool breeze which made it perfect weather! Everyone (except the poor pregnant lady) spent loads of time on the four wheelers, painted rocks, swam in the ice cold river (which uncle John modified into a nice little swimming pool), ate super yummy food, relaxed, and played with the four crazy happy dogs.
We spent Sunday morning at Lyla's (niece) baby blessing in Hyrum (which was perfectly lovely) and the rest of the day with John's family. Everyone was visiting for the weekend which was nice, the girls got to light sparklers, we had a YUMMY lunch at Laura's (sister-in-law) parents home and watched an intense mario cart game.
That is the extremely condensed version of our weekend. It was a nice weekend, but I am exhausted!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend with nature, water fun and play time! I feel for the poor pregnant lady! (I sat on the shore or in the boat while others waterskiied/jetskiied, but our babies are worth the sacrifice of a melow time, right?) :)
