The coolest job EVER!

I was just thinking the Easter Bunny has the coolest job ever (next to Santa of course). Who wouldn't want to hop around the world delivering things and dropping loads of candy in every house? You get to pick out fun things for the kids, be super sneaky getting it all put together and hide all of their eggs. Why eggs? Did I somehow miss the explanation of where the bunny came from? Why not shoes? Wouldn't it be funnier if the Easter bunny hid all of your shoes? It would prevent the problem of not being able to find all of the eggs until they ferment and stink up the house. The Easter bunny hides the eggs inside of our house because it is always too cold outside.

This weekend was nice. Easter was downplayed by General Conference this year. The girls were looking forward to General Conference. We made a big deal out of it last fall (painting John's toenails) and this year we got some treats, made smoothies, printed off conference coloring/game pages, and parked it on the couches for two days of spiritual bliss :) I used to have the hardest time staying awake by the fourth session, but taking notes has mostly solved that problem, and I actually remember things :) Anyway we canceled all Easter activities (except waking up to Easter baskets and finding eggs) and tried to focus on Christ and the resurrection. We read the Easter story in Luke and tried to explain it to the girls. It was a good experience.

Because we were going to miss our families Easter festivities this year, my mom moved her Easter egg coloring/hunt to Friday night. The grandkids are never all together so this was a once in a lifetime Easter egg hunt. It was brief, but the girls had fun with their cousins. I don't have many pictures because I keep forgetting my camera, but I will in a few weeks when Tami makes me a picture CD... In the meantime, here's a couple of the girls with their Easter baskets, coloring eggs, and enjoying conference.
