Happy Birthday Ammon!

Ammon's first birthday was last week.  John and I took him (and the girls, of course) to McDonalds for an ice cream cone.  He didn't care for the ice cream, but he liked the slide!

On Sunday we invited our families over for a little party.  It was great!  Ammon got lots of fun toys which so far he really seems to enjoy (I don't remember the girls being so interested at this age) and enough clothes to last through his next size - yay!  My camera randomly throws fits and it happened to pick Ammon's birthday party to discombobulate so these pictures are, ummmm, an interpreted version?

I have had a lot of thoughts about Ammon during the past week. Mostly how blessed we are to have him as a part of our family.  I was recently talking to a friend about kids and Ammon, and I realized that save those regular baby moments (i.e. being up with him all night when I am exhausted) Ammon has never stressed me out.  That seems odd to me, but I realized how blessed we have been while caring for him.  He has brought us nothing but blessings and we are so, SO very happy to have him in our family!

Last week John reminded me that we haven't updated Ammon's medical status in a while. He has his regular cardiology appointment and a peds appt this week (plus we are finally going to the dysphagia clinic at the end of the month) so I'll update his health some time later this week.
