Thanksgiving

What a nice week!  We have been so busy and it went way to fast.  On Tuesday John was supposed to take the kids up to Logan while I did some church stuff, but everyone was talking about a crazy big storm that was coming and he didn't know if the canyon would still be open when he got there and our van needed new brake pads/roters so he finally opted not to go.  Sad for the girls, but I loved not being alone!

So the next morning we packed half of the house up in our bags and headed North.  We spent most of the day doing things to get ready for the holiday.  Thursday was Thanksgiving with John's-mom's family and boy was it yummy!  All of the usual stuff was great, but my absolute F-A-V-O-R-I-T-E was a cranberry salsa/cream cheese hors d'oeuvre that his aunts Brenda and Paulette made.  I should post the recipe....later.  Then Grandma Speth hatched a brilliant plan to make gram cracker ginger bread houses - they were awesome.  The kids had tons of fun making them and it kept them from terrorizing Grandma Kerr's house for probably an hour. I'll try to get some pics from my sis-in-law...
