Today was our monthly trip to the cardiologist. I wasn't expecting much since Ammon is doing so well and not much happened. They took out his PICC line a couple of weeks ago, so besides having to get up three or four times to stick the binky back in we are sleeping a bit more :) We burrito wrap the binky in place, but this kid loves to kick and it messes up the whole burrito. We have had to bump his oxygen up a bit, but that's not really a big deal. His x-ray and EKG were exactly as they expected and function is good. In fact, we don't even have to go back for six weeks. They will then do a MRI and echo and schedule the surgery for sometime mid May.
He is such a fun baby. He gets more and more mellow every week and has replaced most of the screaming with happy smiles and even a few giggles - Sunday was the first time I heard him laugh - he did it in his sleep in the middle of Relief Society :) He did it a couple more times that night at Audrey's birthday party. He has been spending the day today trying to get his entire fist into his mouth - luckily, it doesn't fit.
The most fun - he LOVES the bathtub! He kind of freaked out the first time John put him in, but he caught on quickly and hates it when I get him out. I use the baby soap and the shower head to make it nice and bubbly and he kicks and kicks until all of the bubbles are gone. He's still a little camera shy, but here's a clip...
