A Sucker for a Small Town

John and I are suckers for a small town - and hope to end up in one someday :). If we are invited to anything small-town-ish we will be there.  Last weekend was the Summit County Rodeo in Coalville.  I have never really stopped in Coalville before and it was just about the cutest place ever.  Ok I have seen cuter on movies, but this is Utah and Summit County is surprisingly sparse on green, leafy trees.  It looked a lot like I imagine Logan might have looked like 50 years ago.  Except it is surrounded by the gigantic hills which flow into mountains and hide you from the rest of the world.  If only you couldn't get T.V. reception there - I'd move tomorrow.

But since we're not moving any time soon we just stayed for the fair and came back to our over populated city block (luckily it is overpopulated with the best neighbors on earth which is another reason we are not moving anytime soon).
Friday morning we met Mike, Angie and their kids at the fairgrounds for the treasure hunt and then spent the day wandering aimlessly.  It was GREAT.  Funniest part of the day - the hypnotist - I am still laughing.  Most beautiful part of the day - watching the horses RUN around the arena - I LOVE that.  Weird, maybe, but I could watch it for hours. AND the rodeo clown - quite possibly the best I have ever seen.

The kids got to pick one ride at the fair. We had to wait for the attendant to clean up the puke from the previous riders. The girls made sure to pick a different seat!
