A Beautiful Sad Day

I just wanted to make mention of something - or rather someone.  About a month ago I posted a link to Annie - a sweet little baby born on March 30 of this year.  We met her parents during Ammon's long recovery from his second open heart.  This sweetest little baby girl passed away this weekend.  Her parents are courageous and strong and FAITHFUL.  I admire the way they fought for their daughter and their faith in knowing that they WILL be with her again.

A few weeks ago I posted about not knowing if I should help Ammon become friends with other children with his condition - I have to say I am very, VERY thankful to have crossed paths with the Sabin's.  I feel a little guilty that our son has been given a litle longer and that Annie's plan was different.  Watching their experience was a little like watching someone live out our future.  I hope that  if or when Ammon's mortal part of his plan comes to an end I will be as gracious and lovely and faithful and STRONG as Amy and Cameron.

Until then I will spend every possible moment loving and cuddling and holding and helping and be more patient with and more thankful for every waking moment I experience with my beautiful children.

  1. I'm so sorry for this family. We're so blessed to have the knowledge of the gospel that we have! I'm also sorry about your ring but I totally agree, i would go with a CZ too. (It is silly that we spent that much money on a little ring.)
