I've Lost It

I lost it.  I lost my diamond.  You know the big one that goes in the center of my wedding ring? Maybe while I was washing Allie's hair?  Or changing a diaper?  Or in the shower?  While doing the dishes?  Combing the girls' hair?

I promised the girls if they found it I would buy them each an American Doll.  They worked their perfect little eyesight all morning with their noses buried in the carpet. But nothing.  No rock, no dolls. (How mean is that?)

Its ok though - I think.  I don't want another one.  I think its absolutely ccccccrazy that we spent that much money on a tiny little rock anyway.  I have so many other ways I would spend the money. We still have to talk to the insurance, but if nothing comes of it I'm checking into CZs.  I am so cheap.

My solace comes from the fact that that little rock doesn't guarantee John's love.  Its gone and he still loves me.  Thats the important part.  If the love was gone, I would definitely freak out.

  1. Maybe you could melt the band and create something unique and individually yours for your ring. In hindsight, I would have done something like that. I think the eternal circle part is the most important part about the ring anyhow. So your good!

  3. YIKES!! But check with S.E. Needham! Since John bought the ring there, they guarantee their diamonds. I am quite sure that they replace lost diamonds with a diamond of equal value/size/color/shape/etc!

  4. They only guarantee them if you keep up on your 6 month inspections. If you do not do this then the guarantee is no longer valid...sorry to be downer:(
