Our Big Vacation! Part 1

We finally went on a vacation - and it didn't even involve a tent...or dirt! And it was fabulous! I have at least 100 photos and I want to post a bunch of them because its easier when it comes time to put them in the book, so skip over them if you get bored...

We left early Wednesday morning and drove to Henderson, NV where we stayed with Matt and Julie Morton's family. Matt was out of town on business, but we had such a nice visit with Julie! Her four kids are really fun and our kids loved playing with them. I didn't get very good pictures, but luckily Julie e-mailed me some...

Ammon and Tate are only three weeks apart in age.
Ammon was obsessed with the Thomas Train sets!
Proof that someone can beat John at Fusbol! Thanks Julie :)

On Thursday we made our way to Victorville to stay with more friends, Jake and Jessica Walters. We overtook their house for three whole days! They were super accomodating and nice and easy going. They drove us to the beach on Saturday (a two hour drive each way) and let us come to church with them on Sunday.  It was fun to hear Jessica give the Relief Society lesson - she did an amazing job! Their kids are also lots of fun and we became attached to them right away!

So cute :) Notice, Ammon didn't need any oxygen?

The waves were a little...STRONG
The crazy waves threw this little chicka all over the place!

Our visits with friends made me realize what great people we know! They are all so very likable. I mean I know you are supposed to like your friends, but they really are LIKABLE. And the worst part is leaving and I really hate saying goodbye to people. I would rather just jump in the van and wave and pretend we can visit with them any time we want. And also I think we should start spending mini vacations with our friends that live close to us - wouldn't that be fun! For us anyway.
