Bittersweet

Last week was a bittersweet ending to several years of babysitting. I've quit before, but somehow I always start again. It has been so fun to watch these kids grow up! Brinlee is starting kindergarten this year so I wouldn't be watching her anymore anyway. I can't believe I have been babysitting her off and on since she was nine months old - time flies!
John and I decided I should stop babysitting. My OB wants me to take it extra easy because if the baby is born early (meaning he'll be smaller)they won't operate. So no lifting, heavy exercise or anything strenuous. Sadly that includes Karlee and Grace. Grace isn't heavy, but I have to lift her all day long and carry her a lot. Karlee can do most things by herself, except get into the high chair and into the playpen for naps - oh, and change her own diaper.
I am looking forward to having a break before I have my own baby to take care of, but I will also miss these cute kids a lot!

Congrats and good luck with the withdrawls. :) It sounds like a good idea to be wise with your energy and time as the baby grows and you/your family prepare. It was SO great to chat with you last week and I look forward to hearing more! Love and hugs to you!
