Little Grease Monkey

Its been a day and a half and Ammon is still extubated and doing pretty well! YAY!!! He is on 5 liters of oxygen tonight and is having some withdrawls from his pain meds (which stinks because they had to increase one of them to ween him more slowly and he looks totally drugged and sleeps a lot). I was super happy to be able to spend some time with him today (thanks Angela!) - I hadn't seen him since Friday - ugh. I was only slightly disappointed that he slept the entire time :) AND I got to hear him cry! He can actually cry out loud now that he is rid of that pesky ventilator! Plus, Jean, one of his regular nurses, cheated a bit and let me hold him - sweet bonding time.

I had an appointment at the hospital today and got to stop by and see a couple of people. I wish I could run into them more often - it was fun. Its funny how fast people can come and go in your life and make such a strong impact.

Here are some new pictures of Ammon. Keep in mind, they didn't bathe him last night because they didn't want to agitate him until he was more stable so he's a little grease monkey :)

Anytime!!! I am just a phone call away....or a hop skip and a jump! My kids enjoy Kylie and Allie. I am glad that you were able to go and hold him. He looks like he belongs to you guys. It is fun to see him getting so big! Hope that you had a Happy Birthday today!
