Tummy Time

What a nice day :) Today was my birthday and John was very thoughtful :) He took the girls shopping last night so they woke me up bright and early to let me open the gifts they picked out :) Then John called and I opened his gift while he was on the phone. They had a theme this year. I have been wanting to get my hair colored FOREVER and I have been complaining about not having clothes that fit so they bought things to help me feel pretty - yay! Kylie picked out some perfume from bath and body, Allie picked out a nice book to relax with, and John made me a hair appointment and even paid for it in advance :) Plus, after he took me to dinner tonight he took me to the mall to use a gift card on some make-up I like, (but am too cheap to buy anymore) and a shirt :) Tomorrow is going to be a cute day....

I let Kylie stay home from school this morning so I could spend time with the girls (can I get in trouble for that?). It was fun! After I opened my presents, Kylie wanted to make me breakfast in bed. Then we all got ready and played scrabble and memory until Aimee came to get them to go to her daughter's craft group. (John even helped arrange that!) I went to the hospital and Aimee dropped them off at my moms when she was done so John could take me to dinner. We finished the night by watching John play church basketball. It was a great day!

Oh - I almost forgot! When I got to the hospital today Ammon was on his tummy! I was so excited! A few people (nurses, doctors...) had told us not to put him on his tummy for various reasons, but despite trying to rotate him around the ventilator, he has developed quite a flat head, so they got a special OK from the fellow and attending and gave it a try. He did pretty well! Its obviously not something we will be able to do at home for a long time because we won't have monitors to let us know when its too much, but I'm glad he got to try it and hopefully they will do it more often and see if we can round out his head a little.

first of all, Happy late birthday! Second, Abi just barely got her first loose tooth so she was excited to see Kylie's picture, and finally, Hooray for Ammon! How fun to have tummy time!
