I should preface by saying, yesterday was frustrating. I showed up at the hospital pretty early and spent about seven hours watching Ammon fuss, cry, and look absolutely exhausted and miserable. He would console and fall asleep, startle, console, sleep....I felt so bad for him and we could not figure out what was bothering him.
Today was just the opposite! First, it was a GORGEOUS day:) Then, Ammon woke up shortly after I got there, was HAPPY, and played with me :) It was SO FUN! I haven't seen him like this since he was admitted. Kylie went to the zoo on a field trip and since it is right next to John's work, he went over to be with her and then brought her to the hospital. Kylie and I hung out with Ammon for a little bit and then came home together.
Dr. Delgado thinks it was the CPAP that has been bugging him - because the peep was set super high to keep his right upper lobe open and maintain his sats. They have been weening for a couple of days and I think its finally low enough that it doesn't hurt him anymore. He SHOULD be off of it tomorrow!!! If he is, you better believe I am finally going to pick up my baby! He hasn't been held in three weeks - that's just not right. I can't wait :)
that video is darling! what a little sweetheart! Hope all goes well and they can take him off!
