I don't really have anything, but SOMEONE told John I was slacking on the blog so this is for you! (Although since I have been home with a weird cough for two days you probably know more than I do.) Ammon is doing WELL - yay :) He is down to 1/4 liter of oxygen (WOW) and they are starting to wean the milrinone (heart squeezer). No more high flow so I'm guessing (always a bad idea) as soon as they finish the milrinone and get a decent echo we can go upstairs??? I haven't talked to the doctor yet today (or NP or anyone really except the nurse who has never had him before), but I will add more after I do. I'm hoping we're looking at days until we can bring him home for awhile and ignore his heart problems until we are forced to deal with them. Since he never really will be "fixable" this seems like a brilliant plan to me.
p.s. Never wear a mask at the hospital unless you have gum in your mouth.
Hey Suzi, I don't know who could have possibly said that to John but it sure is nice to hear how Ammon is doing! Okay...so yes after working the past two days I am up to par on Ammon's latest PICU adventures (and by the way he looks great!) but, it's the days I don't work that I want to hear about him. Besides, I like reading what you have to say even if it's not just about Ammon. I think you're kinda funny! ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean :) - Besides a select few close family and friends, you may be the first and only person to understand my sense of humor :)
