He keeps switching between sinus and junctional rhythms, but the pacemaker is currently unhooked. They are going to monitor him closely until Monday and then make a decision on the pacemaker. I'm hopeful that he wont need one yet,but you never know. He sill has two chest tubes as well and they are putting out a lot of gunk.
He goes for several walks a day now - which is really good for him, but exhausting. Its good to see him up and moving anyway. He started to want to eat a little this morning - watermelon.. He had his fill and then he gagged and puked a bunch of it up. And he's HORRIBLY constipated - ooooh that was sad, but I think we fixed it :) John said tonight he finally ate some real food - not that we haven't been offering anything we can think of for days... a chicken nugget and a couple of french fries... plus a bite of strawberry shake - YAY!!!!
The girls talked to him on a video chat tonight - it was good for them - and for him too, I think. I haven't seen him smile that much in a week. We miss him so much. Its hard on us physically and emotionally, but it builds patience, right :)
And our ward has brought us the yummiest food EVER (there's nothing like a warm, home cooked meal when you walk in the door after an exhausting day). They even brought one when I was home sick. And I can't even start with the babysitters.... It is no small task to arrange people to take and pick up two daughters at two different schools with two different schedules and a third daughter who currently needs constant supervision and now has a runny nose.
p.s. For those who have asked, I think Ammon is ready for visitors now - as long as you don't all come at once :) I think it might even do him some good - bring your smiles :)
| This is the look on his face 90% of the day. |
| a very rare smile :) |

Thanks for taking the time to update the blog. N.C. feels so far away right now. I wish I could be there to help. We are praying for your family, and especially Ammon. I explained Ammon's med history to Kalia including the opening him up part and she now understands how scary it must be for him. Her prayers have changed, she really wants God to help Ammon feel better.
