Sunday's progress

On Sunday morning the attending decided that Ammon needed to get out of bed. They stopped the morphine and replaced it with oxycodon - still glazed him over, but didn't put him to sleep :) He was not thrilled about walking, but seemed to enjoy the wagon ride - at least the part where we stopped at the toy closet.  When we got back he opened a present from Grandma and Grandpa Speth - that was the most interested I have seen him since Wednesday morning.

They have been giving him a lot of diuretics to try to get the fluid off of his chest and it has messed up his electrolites.  His sodium and potassium got dangerously low and he was still puking up about half of everything.  His feeding tube seems to be helping though :)  His heart put itself in sinus rhythm (atria and ventricle are working together properly) for the first time!  Its been in and out ever since, but at least it CAN get there!
