A sad visit

I took the girls to see Ammon today.  I don't think they were expecting to find him so tired, out of it (morphine) and unresponsive.  Allie cried and snuggled and cried some more.  Ammon wasn't very responsive - except when Allie snuggled next to him.  He snuggled back, but didn't say anything.  The girls only stayed a short while and then I got to spend the afternoon with him.  He slept  lot and when he woke up he was clearly miserable.  He threw up and kept telling me he hurt, but couldn't tell me where.  It was SO. SO. SAD. He's cranky for sure, but tolerant at the same time. Its hard not to be there, but its hard to be there and see him like that.  I can't wait until he is back to his old self.  I spent a lot of the afternoon holding his hand.  If I wasn't holding it when he woke up he would start to get all crabby-like.   His numbers are okay, but not fabulous yet.  He needs lots of prayers :)
