So Far So Good!

Finally, a picture!
Today is a good day :) They closed Ammon's chest this morning and he seems to be tolerating it well - yay! John and I came down right after sacrament meeting to see how things went. So this week they are going to work on getting him off of the ventilatior, changing his pain meds so he doesn't have withdrawls, and maybe try to get his chest tubes out. Oh! And they put a feeding tube in his intestines so they can start giving him some breast milk in conjunction with his IV nutrition. Its only like 1 cc per hour and there are 30 ccs in one ounce, so its more just to test things out for now, but at least the poor boy will get to eat soon.

  1. What a beautiful baby boy. Great news on closing his chest. You got a little Christmas present early. I hope he tolerates his feeds well. He'll probably really like having some real food in his belly. Hang in there. He's a little trooper.

  2. Suzi,
Ammon looks so good. What a darling boy you have!!! Congrats on the progress, good news and positive moments this week. Still thinking of you and sending love to everyone.
What a wonderful time to have a son, to remember the Christmas story, message and Love that it revolves around. May the Lord's Spirit be extra close in your heart this holiday season.
Lots of love and Merry Chritmas!
