Something I'm Bad At...

I am so grateful for John. I love that he balances me and helps pick up the slack for things that I am really bad at. Although that includes a LOT of things, I have been thinking a lot about how bad I am at thanking people. John is good at that. I want to be more like him :)

During the past few months we have been spoiled silly. Soooo many people have come to our aid in just about everything we could possibly need. Family, friends, neighbors, and ward members... and I think I have left all of the thanking up to John. Not because I am not abundantly grateful, but because we have been given so much that it overwhelms me and I don't know where to start or what to say and if I do start, and I will probably cry and I just don't do that in front of people very often (dumb, I know).

I know that sending a big group thank you is terribly impersonal, but I'm VERY behind in expressing my thanks and I need a jump start. Plus, I still struggle to do it in person and I am going to need some time to work on that. At least this way I can say SOMETHING and hope that you will know what I mean by it :)

So THANK YOU (that really seems inadequate) EVERYBODY for EVERYTHING. Thank you for taking care of us, and spoiling us, and loving us. We had a wonderful Christmas and the best part was spending time with people and realizing how much you all care for us - that was my favorite.

  1. a few thank you note ideas-

1 Stomp out a giant THANK YOU in the snow in the front yard
2 String Christmas lights on the house spelling out the words THANK YOU
3 String cans to the back of the van making a ruckus when you drive with a sign that reads THANKS!
4 Rerecord your voicemail to include a singing rendition of Thank You
5 always remember to pay it forward!

    Love you
